Coming out of Mormonism may be the most significant, emotional and spiritual event that you will ever go through. You may feel alone! You may not even know anyone who has left the Church and you may think that there is absolutely no one you can talk to, but the truth is that there are thousands of Mormons who have left Mormonism after they had discovered that the Mormon Church was not what they had been taught it was. You are not alone! Speaking of the Good Shepherd, Jesus said at John 10:4-5, 9-10, 27-30:
“…when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. …I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. …My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.”
If you hear the voice of Good Shepherd Jesus calling to you to leave Mormonism and follow Him, come to Him in prayer and begin to develop a personal relationship with Him by reading His Word, the Bible and trusting in His sacrifice alone to make you worthy before God. In Galatians 1:6-10 we read:
“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel (another gospel) — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse! Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (NIV)
Why live any longer in the counterfeit “gospel” of Mormonism that leaves you with the uncertainty of whether you will be acceptable to God when you die? The message of Jesus Christ is simple because God LOVES you and He has provided to way for you to spend eternity with Him!
