I have a problem with the Trinity

MORMON QUESTION:

I have a problem with the whole trinity thing. How can the Father, Son and Holy Ghost be the same God?

BIBLICAL ANSWER:

Defining and defending the doctrine of the Trinity is a question that  requires more time than this quick reply answer can adequately provide, but briefly the Trinity is articulated clearly in Scripture and from my experience with both Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses, I have seen that when people understand what the doctrine is and what the doctrine is not, many of the problems of accepting it go away because most of the problems are usually based upon a misunderstanding of what the doctrine is.

So, I am going to refer you to my video called: God the One and Only: Making Sense of the Trinity” and also my book Yes, You Should Believe in the Trinity that goes into depth on these issues as they relate to Jehovah’s Witness beliefs that are similar to Mormons on this issue.

BOOK: YES, YOU SHOULD BELIEVE IN THE TRINITY

It is interesting to see that the Book of Mormon actually supports more of a Trinitarian position, than it does the current view of the Mormon Church.   See also this article that explains and defends the Trinity from a Mormon perspective as well.
