Hi I’m Bev.
GOD’S WORD IS PASSIONATE PROMISES – Trustworthy and True
Rejoice everyday in the precious promises and Sanctuary of God’s Word. Every believer can receive His Word as personally their own. Our God is trustworthy, true, and His passion for His people radiates through His Word. Never doubt theses promises.
God walked and talked in the Garden with Adam and Eve. I often wonder what He said. It must have been sweet and intimate.
However, Satan asked Eve: “Yea, hath God said?” Genesis 3:1 KJV
Satan put doubt in God’s Word. Eve believed the lie of Satan. I believed the lie of Satan as a Mormon, believing the Bible was not translated correctly. However, to me this made God an impotent god. It revealed man could be stronger than God Himself.
Could God be pleased with anyone who doubts His God-breathed, Holy Spirit inspired Word. It is an act of arrogance to believe man is able to rise above God’s power and change His Word.
God holds His own name in high esteem; but; magnifies His Word above His name.
Psalm 148:13 KJV “Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.”
Psalm 138:2 KJV “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”
Precious one, believe God has preserved His Word for you. Listen to the beautiful and phenomenal promises of His love for you.
Or, do you believe the lie of Satan?
God promises redemption. Looking back to my days in the Mormon Church, I believed my redemption was received by being in the “only true church.” God’s promise of redemption is never applied to membership in a church.
Romans 3:24 KJV “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”
Ephesians 1:7 KJV “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”
God’s grace was something I never heard of as a Mormon. The gospel was working hard enough to live in the Celestial Kingdom. Every day I woke up with sincere desire to live the gospel. Even though I was sincere, I failed before the day ended. Now I can relate to the Israelites living under the law. I can see clearly The Mormon Gospel was living under the Old Covenant of the Law. The New Covenant is by grace through the blood of our Savior Jesus the Christ.
“You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” ( 1 Timothy 2:1.) If you’re going to be strong in something, let it be in the grace that is in Jesus. The Christian’s abiding state of power is in that grace.
Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Wow! I am saved by His grace and not my works lest I should boast. Sitting in Bishop interviews, I was accounting to a man for my accomplished works. The focus was on me and if I was worthy.
Romans 3:10 KJV “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”
I am God’s workmanship. I am created in Christ Jesus. My boasting is in Him. My works are for His glory. This statement is the basis for an intimate relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ.
From Genesis to Revelation God is wooing His creation to Himself. Jesus Christ is the only way.
John 14:6 KJV “Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way , the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
