COMING BACK TO HER FIRST LOVE

Greetings from Dan and Kaci,

As usual the Lord connected me with a person in deep need this past month. And it was absolutely incredible on the outcome. K. is a former Jehovah’s Witness who is now a faithful servant at a local church. However, over the past few years she has been dealing with deep depression. The reason for this depression is her deep desire to see her family set free from the Jehovah’s Witness organization. Her parents have rejected her and will only have slight contact with her.

What was so amazing about this conversation was the wisdom that the Holy Spirit gave to K. as we were talking. I asked her about her prayer life and also about how she came out of the Jehovah’s Witness, and immediately it was revealed that the enemy had used her family to wedge a stronghold in her life. She spoke of such love for the Savior when recounting how He had saved her, and I knew in my heart that Jesus wanted her back to the place of her first love. It is almost as if her family had become an idol in her life and because of that Jesus had been pushed out of the way. We both realized that this is a very unsafe place and we could see how the depression had slipped in. The depression had not only affected her but also her husband. After about an hour on the phone, we ended the conversation with her committing to go back to her first love and not worry about her family right now. Jesus is the only one that can save her family and she needs to be closer to Him than with her family. She agreed, we prayed together and in my heart I felt a great victory for her. Please pray for K.
