– I was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness, but I never felt like I fit in at the Kingdom Hall. In 2008, as I was in the process of working to gain acceptance by the Jehovah’s Witnesses, my brother and sister who had left Jehovah’s Witnesses before me, began to reach out to me in love, using the resources on this website. I soon gave my life to Christ and was then able to lead my wife Kaci to Christ as well. Now my walk with Jesus is so great. I love my Savior! I am so pleased to report that we had another incredible month handling calls for Witnesses for Jesus. Although the calls were quite peculiar, it reminded me of the times we are living in and how we need to guard our hearts.
As usual the Lord connected me with a person in deep need this past month. And it was absolutely incredible on the outcome. K. is a former Jehovah's Witness who is now a faithful servant at a local church. However, over the past few years she has been dealing with deep depression. The reason for this depression is her deep desire to see her family set free from the Jehovah's Witness organization. Her parents have rejected her and will only have slight contact with her.
This was an incredible month as the Lord continued to pull people out of the Jehovah's Witness organization. I had the opportunity to evangelize to two separate Jehovah's Witnesses this month through the telephone.
One gentleman that has been a witness for 20 or more years, suddenly started to see the deception of this cult. Both he and his wife are looking into the truth of the gospel although as many of you know it is a process coming out as you have to process so many things. Please pray for Tom and his family as they make their way out.
Through the ministry phone line, my wife and I had the privilege of meeting with a local person who is engaged in witnessing to a Jehovah's Witness. It has been a very challenging time for this individual because of some situations that have happened in her life. It was such a blessing though to be able to encourage a sister in Christ to stay strong and to not lose heart. God ministered to this individual through Kaci and I, and I believe there will be some big changes in her life soon.
What a great and exciting month. As you know, Kaci and I had an opportunity to go to California and witness to a lady that was struggling to come out of the Jehovah's Witness organization. Thank you for all of your prayers. God answered them. I am happy to announce that the woman that we were witnessing to is now a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. Here is an email that she sent Kaci and I shortly after we left California:
“Hi there, I had such a very delightful and lovely day with you and your wife. I prayed to Jesus....... I hope he is listening to me. I hope I'm not hopeless... Hope ...[we] can come to Colorado sometime. Let's stay in touch.”
I am continuing to minister to the couple we had a chance to meet in California. The lady has faced numerous challenges since coming out of the Jehovah's Witness organization and your prayers can be extremely helpful. Please keep this couple in your prayers, and if God puts them on your heart please lift them up.
I had a very encouraging conversation with a woman who called us this month. She has been married to a Jehovah's Witness for some time. He is currently disfellowshipped and does not go to the meetings but as you know he still considers it the "truth." Recently the Jehovah's Witnesses have been coming by her home and gave her a 2011 Memorial invitation tract.
What a great month. I was able to help out a Christian struggling with questions to ask the Jehovah's Witnesses who she is having a bible study with. The Lord gave us a few good questions that we thought would have a great impact on them. I have listed them in this report in case any of you want to use them. Perhaps some of the information here has gone unnoticed before. Here are the questions:
1. According to Jehovah's Witness beliefs, everyone prior to the Holy Spirit being poured out has an “earthy hope”. In contrast, Hebrews 11:16 states that all the Old Testament Fathers looked to a heavenly home. Why the contradiction? Is the Bible lying or is it wrong? Please explain.
Blessed be the Name of the Lord. What a powerful month. The phone ministry has been great this month. I continue to be amazed at the wonders of God. I had a phone call this month from a Jehovah's Witness who has left the organization. She has been out for six years. However, just recently God has been working on her heart. She stated that she has not been involved in church and I am not sure how much she is reading her bible, but I asked her the question that Jesus posed to his disciples when he said, “Who do men say that I am (Luke 9:18)?” I asked her who she thought Jesus was and she replied,
“In the beginning God said let us make man in our image so Jesus must have been there since the beginning.”
