Lee and Kathy at the Indiana Mormon Temple Opening
The primary activity this month has been our joint service with Tri-Grace Ministries who financially sponsored our trip just north of Indianapolis at the new Mormon Temple.
This Temple “Open House” has provided the fantastic opportunity to not only share the True Gospel of Jesus Christ with thousands of Mormons, but we have educated and alerted many more thousands of Christians as to the specific deceptions of the Mormon Church. (See our Mormon Worldview Exposed pamphlet)
In the weeks prior to this showcase event from the Mormon Church, approximately 70 thousand “non-Mormon” Temple Visitor Guides were delivered to the north and northwest neighborhoods of Indianapolis. With this advance information, the visitors to this, the 148th Mormon Temple, were well informed specific to key dishonesties presented by the young Missionaries and Temple Representatives.
Without any exaggeration, over the two and a half weeks, I personally spoke with hundreds and shared a short message with thousands. For many hours each day Kathy and I, along with the several volunteers from Tri-Grace Ministry and local Christian Churches, leaned into the car windows of thousands and stated:
“Good-afternoon, here is a Christian view of the Mormon Temple, it documents some of the information that the Mormons do NOT want you to know before you take your Tour.”
And with that, Christians, Mormons, Non-Believers and City, State and Local Officials were provided with a socking but accurate 12-page review of Mormonism. Not once from the nearly 90,000 recipients of this “Non-Mormon Temple Visitor Guides” did anyone question or debate the accuracy of the revolting information contained within this Free Guide because it was so well documented.
All Praise to our Great God for the many hearts and minds that were turned during those hot and humid days there on the palatial grounds of yet another multi-million dollar Mormon Temple, which itself stands and an opulent and fraudulent example of the mockery of Mormonism. Our team continually offered the thousands of polite but genuinely naive of visitors, with the opportunity to:
“Come visit with a Former Mormon Bishop who can and will describe the un-Christian Mormon Temple Ceremonies and Rituals, while providing a contrast to the Biblical history, purpose and function of Temple in Jerusalem, where he and his wife have studied.”
I have never before been so blessed to speak with a constant stream of Christians, Mormons, Non-Mormons, Non-Believers, Atheists, Agnostics, Jews and even a Muslim and small group from the “Original Mormon Church”, the Community of Christ. We have also had opportunities to be interviewed by the local public media.
I can tell you that even more than the Outreach opportunities in Utah, I witnessed God move in mighty ways among such a very diverse group of His lost Children. I was both humbled and overwhelmed. Several of the more powerful and morally shocking days were when we centered our messages on two of the most disgusting of Mormon Doctrines: “Polygamy” and “Blacks in Mormon Scriptures”.
Without question, hundreds of the Mormon Temple Visitors were awestruck and appalled to see thirty-four pioneer dressed women and young girls quietly, reverently and yet boldly standing in a 250 foot line in front of the deceptively wholesome all-white multi-million dollar Pagan Temple. It was as if these delicate and submissive Christian volunteers were silently screaming… “My life under Mormonism will not be Forgotten or Dismissed!!”
Cars, visitors and local pedestrians were stopping to the point where the local Police were required to manage the visual demonstration of one of the most fundamental Mormon offensive to the very Name of God. Many hundreds of visitors became instantly aware with the true foundations of Mormonism without a word being spoken.
The second and equally as powerful special focus of the Indiana Temple Outreach, was the few days we focused on the Mormon Doctrine, Teaching and formal Scriptures of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was the racist and violent teachings specific to the Blacks and the Government of the United States of America.
Several local African-American Christians volunteered to bring to light the many racist Scriptures still used by the Mormon Church and the not distant past History and Teaching of the theoretical “Prophets” of the Mormon Faith who consistently laid the many racist and bigoted practices of the Mormon people at the very feet of Jesus Christ, claiming that it was the will of God that the Blacks be “Cursed” by and with the color of their skin.
As we have been teaching, we have been successful in recognizing those in whom the Lord has been working and are very open to the messages of His Gospel. And nearly a dozen individuals and families have been moved in significant ways towards recognizing the need for a relationship with Christ outside the religions of man.
Without question the dedication of the Christian witnesses and support volunteers have opened the eyes of many Mormons. With the rare opportunity to meet with and question us, “a former Mormon Bishop and his wife,” both the accuracy of our testimonies and the depth of our knowledge concerning the Mormon deceptions which cannot be disputed or regarded as irrelevant.
While we have been educating people on the deceptions of Mormonism, many have asked “Why do you speak out against Mormonism, the Mormon people are such nice people?” I can’t argue with that…they are a Fantastic organization, with great families, but they have been deceived by their leaders. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has distorted God’s word as spoken in the Bible. I must stand by the words spoken by the Apostle Paul, 2 Corinthians 11:12-14: “And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
When a church or organization changes the word of God and tells people NOT to trust the Bible, the Word of God, then I must speak up for TRUTH! God’s word is Sovereign, He is All Knowing and I will spread His Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, NOT the Gospel of Joseph Smith! Your support has truly impacted the lives of many through the Spirit of God, lives have been changed right here on the front lawn of a Mormon Temple.
Praise be to God!
