.:How can I get the Jehovah’s Witnesses to STOP coming to my door?
“While I respect the beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I have my own beliefs. I wish to request that these door-to-door people stop coming to my house. My property is posted with “no trespassing” and “no solicitation” signs, yet they ignore them. I have even asked them to leave me alone, but they keep coming back. I do not want to receive mail from them either. What can I do to get rid of them? If they do not stop coming, I will take action to stop them by calling on police assistance.”
Dear friend,
We are sorry that the Jehovah’s Witnesses have been ignoring your request to stop knocking on your door. We agree with you that it is wrong for them to continue to disregard your request not to be disturbed.
As much as we would like to help you get your address removed from the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall visitation list, we apologize that our ministry cannot do this for you because we do not have access to their records. However, we do offer a few suggestions that may help:
1. You can place our “NO VISITS BY JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES” sticker on your front door. Most Jehovah’s Witnesses DO respect our sticker and will not visit when it is posted in a visible place on your property. If you would like us to mail to you our sticker, we would be happy to send it free of charge. All you need to do is provide us with a physical address to which we can mail it. When you make your request, please be sure to put the words “No Visits by JWS Sticker” in the subject line of your note or email so that we know that this is what you are requesting from us. Click HERE to contact us.
2. You can call your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses listed in the phone directory and/or contact the Jehovah’s Witness headquarters in the United States at the following address and phone number:
Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of New York
25 Columbia Heights
Brooklyn, NY 11201
Phone: 718-560-5000
3. You can respectfully tell the next group of Jehovah’s Witnesses who visit your door that you do not want to be visited by them because you have studied their religion enough to know it is not the truth. When you do this, be sure to hand them our “Facts the Watchtower Society Doesn’t Want You to Know” website article (www.4jehovah.org). Jehovah’s Witnesses are AFRAID of any literature that exposes many of the errors of their religion, so when they see that you have this kind of literature on-hand, ready to give to them when they come to your door, they will be too afraid to visit again.
